Your thread? I didn't know threads were owned by people. Which ones can I have?

He is spamming of course, no arguments there.

I am sorry. Of course spamming was never the intention. Also, it's not YOUR thread!

Also, if anything. I was also giving advice.

Such as 'upgrade MediaWiki'.

He was presumably referring to the fact that he started the thread, a thread about his own website.

An upgrade to the latest version IS in the offing. I've got a lot on my plate at the moment. I'll see what I can do next weekend.

Well if any offence was caused I apologise. It was not intentional.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Over the last few hours, I've been moving TV Live Wiki to the same hosting as TV Live. All the pages have been safely transferred over, the next job to be done is getting the images and templates successfully moved over. I've done the majority, but there are some that still need transferring.

The wiki is now situated at http://wiki.tv-live.org.uk - if you were a member of the old wiki, you'll have to re-register.

Registration to the wiki is temporarily disabled whilst I deal with an ongoing spam problem. It will be enabled again later this evening.

Hi Rob, I recommend the MediaWiki RequestAccount extension.

It means users can sign up as usual but their request must be confirmed before their account is activated.

You're also probably going to need to update MediaWiki and use the latest WikiEditor extension

I used both prior to closing ChannelWiki

Hope this helps

No problem. I also used to use RecentChangesCleanup (extension) to remove blocked user updates on the Recent Changes page.

Just a thought
