If you send content to TV Live, it will still be uploaded, but I'll be back to normal service from the 14th September.

I don't want to add more to the stock pile of stuff Laughing

I'm on a course at the moment, that's the explanation for the downtime. Other people will still be around to upload stuff in my absence.

Good luck with your course.

Will the others be able to reword/renamed some of the text box? Main reason for asking is I have a few other bits n bobs to pass on but I don't want overwhelm anyone and also when the changes take place I will be able to have TV Live, TV ark and TV archive all singing of the same hymn sheet give powerful archive details to internet. Sounds like something from an 80s cartoon.

Yes, the other members of the team are able to edit pages as and when they wish.

Three sections for updating, for Axg Wink Thanks

BORDER: http://www.tv-live.org.uk/wp/index.php/itv/regions/border/idents/

MINOR ISSUE: Plain light blue ident come along in 1995 Spring/summer but it did NOT get past September 1995. Two dark blue moving idents were its replacement, all you have to do is take away "-1997" Bingo sorted!

Confusing isnt it.
-------------------------------

YORKSHIRE: http://www.tv-live.org.uk/wp/index.php/itv/regions/yorkshire/idents/

* 1986 Arguably the most loved YTV ident, dubbed ‘Liquid Gold’. It should be " JANUARY 1987"

* 1994 – 1996 --- Monday 5th September 1994 : ITV look dropped and replaced
* 1996 – 1998 ---- Monday 3rd October 1996 Channel 3 ident: ended 8th March 1998
* 1998 - 1999 ---- Monday 9th March 1998 - 8 November 1999
* 8 November 1999 - 2002: NEW ident for local show ONLY which had purple rotating chevrons in the background

---------------------------

Scottish tv page
http://www.tv-live.org.uk/wp/index.php/itv/regions/scottish/idents/

Since nearly all the 1988 STV idents have appeared some minor changed will need to take place:

* 1985 – 1988: It should say 1985 - 1987.
1985 Clock was still used until End of 1988, and it was also used as Front and end cap..

For Ref 1988: Hopeful the site will be able to get copies of them at some point
* Jan - March: 88 on Scottish
* April - ?? ( July) Flat looking ident
* ??( July) - Dec: water effort over the ident
* Xmas snow version of Ident

*1989-1993: This needs to get moved up one;
January 1989 - Dec 1992

* 1989 Only This needs to get moved under the 1989 ident.
Scottish adopted the ITV Generic look in September 1989 and used it in conjunction its own ident, but it didn't survive for long and disappeared by December.

A more generic version of the tiddlywink-style ident. introduced in Jan 1991 to work along with the 1989 ident.

Clarify clearly what needs changing in the Border.

Done Yorkshire and Scottish, say if I've made an error or not if something still needs changing.

I will double check with some others I hope with Border! it really does need clarity.

Thank you for making the changes. Just some minor errors needing done mainly on my part for not explaining to your good self. I have changed them to make them better.

1985: The ident was last used in 1987, however the clock was used as a ........
Should say ie:
" The Ident was last used in December 1987 for Continuity purposes but continued to be used as a front and end cap until Christmas 1988. The Clock also continued to be used until the same time.

1989-1993.
This is what it was replaced with. Tiddlywinks the theme here I think… used from 1989 and remained in use until 1993.
Should say
* In January 1989 a new standard ident was introduced to replace numerous seasonal idents which appeared during 1988. Tiddlywinks the theme here we think and remained in use until Christmas 1992.

Again the site does not have any copies of the 1998 ident

1999-2002
Yorkshire Television introduced a new set of idents used to introduce local programmes on 8th November 1999, featuring locations from around the region. The idents were last used on 27th October 2002 Below are just some of the idents used.

Sorry about that!

Both pages updated - remember to check if I've made any errors.

If the Yorkshire TV 'Channel 3' ident lasted until 8th March 1999, and the local spinning chevron idents came in on 8th November 1999. What did they used between 9th March and 7th November?

thank you.

It seems it was same ident used but with the Ch3 branding taken out, with a Day and evening version.

T'was a surprise to see a well maintained and full Channel Islands BBC section, a region that often gets overlooked. Most websites like TV-Ark seem to think that the opt only began when the region became available on Sky, but the Fremont point analogue only opt had been going for a lot longer before that, and you've even got some screenshots from that era. Great stuff.

Don't suppose you've got some clips too?

It's incomplete however, I'm afraid -- doesn't include the map titles at the start of the report..

Hi can you upload a clip of sky news ireland?

TVDragon, can you upload S4C presentation from 2000-2007?

You are quoting a member who posted in 2009, who I believe is Dragon Archive, and isn't very active on the site anymore.
