Totally agree with all that Jamesypoo has written. It was hearing about the issues that others have had over the years with YouTube that I decided to go down the route of hosting the videos myself. At least, then, I've got overall control of my content.

Well as long as it's not TV Ark's system of having the videos on a separate page and having them non-hyperlinkable, then it's not a real problem for the user (unless a poor player is picked).

You'll be pleased to know that's not going to be happening with our videos.

Hi Rob, this is my experience on Windows 7:

As an IE9 user (yes, I know...) the lightbox appears but the video plays in Windows Media Player.

In Firefox 14, the lightbox appears, but only the sound plays - there's no video.

With Opera 12, clicking the video link causes the video to play in the full window, you don't get a lightbox.

The only browser so far that works as expected is Chrome.

Ok then: using Windows 7

Firefox 20.0.1: The video appears and plays with sound, however the video seem to be fitting to the full size of my monitor, and I'm only seeing the middle from the intended video player.

Chrome 26: Seems fine.

IE 10: Like Firefox.

iOS 6.1.4: Fine on all browsers I have.

Thank you both. I will attempt to try and fix this over the weekend.

Try it now, I've tried a different player, and it appears to be working in Chrome, Firefox and IE.

Works fine in IE9, Chrome, Firefox - and on mobile with Android - but gets nowhere in Opera which has 'Downloading data from releases.flowplayer.org' in the status bar.

Just tested in Opera 12.15, and it's working fine. Don't know what to suggest I'm afraid...

... that I bin my computer?! Most likely my installation as it's working your end. Wink

[Edit]

Yep, powered up the laptop and Opera 12.5's working fine on there. Darn that PC...
