Just
one week
after we launched our new look site on a new host, it appears that the server has encountered a serious error which has resulted in the loss of our site. I am extremely angry and devastated at hearing this news (and at one point, even considered shutting the site completely). It's a kick in the teeth after all the hard work that went into getting the new site set up from me and the team. I suppose the best thing to do is to start again. In the meantime, I've put the old site back online whilst we (once again) rebuild the site. I'm hoping that the site will be back online by the time we celebrate our second birthday at the end of June.
Thanks for your continued support, and we hope that normal service will be resumed as soon as humanly possible.

How much do you think Rob paid for it? It certainly wasn't free.
I guess you get what you pay for when it comes to hosts.

That's correct, although it wasn't a lot of money that went into the site.
I should have some new hosting set up very shortly, thanks to an extremely kind member of TVF. I'll make an announcement shortly.

Work is now underway on rebuilding TV Live. We're about 30% of the way through at the moment, with BBC, Channel 4 and our Other Channels sections now online. By the end of the week, I'm hoping to have the entire site online. Hopefully the site will be back online in time for our second birthday on the 27th June.

If you paid for the hosting, then you can legally claim compensation.
When you start the new site, Make sure you back it up to Mozy .
And keep a copy of the entire website on your computer or another host, so that if the website goes offline completely, users can be redirected to a mirror.

We're going to take every precaution in the event of the site experiencing problems. I'm confident that with our new hosting, we'll have no problems for the forseeable future.
We're working on the design of the site now, It's different from what we've done before, but I'm confident you'll like it. The launch will take place in a few days. More details then.

Are you building it up from scratch again?
Mine took a while (and still is), but I am a 1-person team building my site, and I produce all the graphics myself. So, progress is premium but slow. Hopefully most of the site will be completed by september. It is online, but yet to be launched.

Every page has been individually transferred from an old version of the site - so whilst not exactly remaking it is hard work.

Unlike Setanta, after weeks of uncertainty and doubt, I'm extremely pleased and honoured to say that the new look TV Live is now
here!!
. We've taken the opportunity over the last three weeks to prepare the new look site for launch. A lot of hard work has gone into giving the site a much-needed kiss of life.
All this could not have been done without the help of tesandco , who has kindly supplied us with the hosting for the new look site, Jugalug , who has once again come up with a superb design for the site, and Jonny for his work in contributing several new sections for the site.
Some areas of the site are still being worked on, and we'll work on getting them done soon.
Anyway, enough waffling on, and check out our wealth of images, videos and text from channels across the UK and the world.
