In the ITV1 2003 idents, that's *Not* David Suchet. I'm not sure who he is, he's an actor but can't think what he's been in.

EDIT: With a little research it appears it is Alun Armstrong.

It's been over 3 weeks since I last posted in this thread, so I thought I'd better explain what's been going on.

We are currently in the process of moving the site to a brand new server. This is following comments from users about the (extremely annoying) pop-up adverts that appear when a page is missing from the site, and also the ever-increasing downtime which is not our fault. We are also using the site move to upgrade to the latest version of Website Baker, the system we use to run the site. As you can probably imagine, this is going to take some time, and as a result, there will be no new updates to TV Live for a while. We will be keeping the old site online while we work on the new site, so please bear with us while this is in progress. We hope to complete the move by December when the new site will be unveiled.

The site will not be receiving a new look as we are happy with the existing look, but there will be small cosmetic changes to make the site a more pleasant place to visit. We would welcome any suggestions you may have.

TV Live is continuing to grow, and we hope you'll stick with us as we get bigger.

Thank you.

Just a quick update as to how things are going...

The new site is now approximately 30% complete. The Five and Sky sections are now up at the new site, and work has begun on the BBC and ITV sections, and links are in place in the relevant sections to guide people to the new site. Surprisingly, this is taking less time than I thought it would, so I'm happy it's happening quickly. I'm hoping to have the site finished now by next week so the switchover can begin.

Thanks.

The BETA site is now online at www.tv-live.org.uk - the Channel 4, Other Channels and +1 sections will return shortly, but have a look around, and tell us what you think.

Lots of new BBC2 videos on our YouTube channel as we prepare to say goodbye to some of the BBC2 window idents.

The move is now complete, and I'm pleased to say the new site is ready for action. There's still some work to be done with, but I'm pleased with the hard work myself and the team have done in getting the site up and running.

There was going to be a page for the updated BBC Two idents this morning, but as that hasn't happened...

The +1 section has been removed from the site due to inactivity. The Resources and Links section can now be accessed from the main menu.

The Channel 4 and Other Channels sections have been revised as well, and we are bringing back the ITV and BBC Regional news pages gradually over the next couple of weeks.

Enjoy!
