Please can you change the design because it looks awful. It looks like something from the 1990s gone wrong!

No offense.

With no disrespect to the designer/site builder im going to have to agree. It looks very out of date and its poorly put together.

There are lots of images that direct us to channels that could be text links instead and the colours feels so dull, I also don't like how every channel has different buttons to each section. Its all a bit inconsistent.

We are working on improving the look of the site at the moment. It does look a bit of a mish-mash right now, but once we've finished, it's going to look so much better.

Thanks for your comments, they are much appreciated.

There's a small update to the Sky News 2008 section, which is being used as a testing ground for a new look site we're unveiling shortly, so you can see what we're up to before we launch the new look.

What's going on with the URLs (or complete and utter lack therof)?

The newer look is an improvement but it still has quite a few faults - centred text, odd fonts.

There's still a way to go, the navigation of the site is being re-done, and all pages are being checked to ensure they comply with the new style.

Better improvement but http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/7021/bodylinezo2.jpg and http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z207/radio1fansite/text_bg.jpg should be gifs and you should stick to just one text font!

I really like the new look, Rob. Smile

Can't wait for the full relaunch. Smile

Is it not possible to have the menu as a 'proper' menu, so that when you hold your mouse over BBC for example, it pops out a menu with all the subpages?

That's going to be too complicated for us to do. I don't think it's a good idea I'm afraid.

We're not far off relaunching the site, the page indexes need finishing and our new homepage is almost there, so we're hoping to relaunch tomorrow sometime.

Google "Free Java Menu" and you'll find loads of free scripts that allow you to do just that.

I've even found one that emulates the BBC iPlayer sliding menus.

Thanks for the suggestion, but as there are far too many subpages, it wouldn't be feasible.

Yes it would be rob. There are quite a few ways you could have a menu displayed on all your pages with the need to only edit one file to alter the entire site navigation. There are javascript menus that would do this and considering all your pages are php files there are even more basic ways you could do it.
