The Swiss/Univers BBC Sport style debuted with a lunchtime BBC 1 football game, possibly featuring Man Utd, so was probably an FA Cup matchup.

A huge afternoon, and weekend, of sport on the Beeb that day, hence why it was chosen for the relaunch presumably.

Yes, indeed! That era was 2003-6, the shiny 3D version of those graphics debuted at the 2006 World Cup, then the yellow/black style came along at the 2010 World Cup, with the latest graphics set being introduced at the 2014 World Cup.

Wow, talk about breaking the pattern. Apart from 1997's enforced rebrand due to the change of corporate BBC logo, every revamp before the 2003 one happened in Olympics year. No wonder you got confused.

I'm not the only one, Hopeful we can sort out that 03 - ( I take it should be 14?)

EU Referendum results coverage is gradually appearing on TV Live. So far, there's ITV and Good Morning Britain presentation, with the rest appearing over the coming days.

As I said on Twitter a great effort with the referendum coverage, something I'm told 623058 deserves the credit for. Well done.
