TV Home closure

(November 2004)

This site closed in March 2021 and is now a read-only archive

Why the closure?

Surely the best thing would be to leave it dormant so that all, could still view it?

It probably costs him money to have the webspace and domain.

As long as the content remains online all be it via other sites, TV Home will live on. Still it could be worse, it could be TV Forum closing! Smile

Thanks for everyone's comments. Firstly, the forum is going nowhere! I've updated TVH's homepage to mention that. The reason to remove the site fully is mainly for purposes of closure. I always said I would leave it up and running, with a message to say it wouldn't be updated but if it's still there, there's always the temptation to update it once in a blue moon and that seems quite pointless because of how the site was set up to have full batches of each channel's ident package and when you start missing ones here and there, it just doesn't become as comprehensive.

Handing control over to someone would be burning my bridges. I don't know how much PresUpdate is used but that'll remain on the domain, along with the News 24 material for now. By allowing any existing pres site to have whatever they want, it should ensure a number of the clips remain available on the net.

And who knows? It could return the original idea of a MHP Private Parts style where I become one of many on here who have their webspace to provide the odd clip every now and again.

Cheers, Asa

Thats good news, thanks Asa! Will you still be "part" of the forum and post now and again, or are you just going to take a step back???

I meant that in a nice way - people were talking as if he was ill.
Hope that clears things up.
Sorry Asa.
