It reads as if THIS place will continue, although I've worked in a few places where management have said all jobs are safe just three weeks before handing out the redundancy notices.
I wonder what will actually happen?

Asa has assured me that TV Forum will remain intact. The only reason for TV Home's closure is the sheer amount of time needed in order to operate a TV pres website properly. Asa's said he's been finding if difficult devoting time to TV Home recently, hence why he's decided to close it down. In comparison, TV Forum is fairly low maintenance with the help of three other people.

Probably best that I don't push the limits of my formal warning by questioning any further then.
We'll all have to wait and see.

Wow. Having first come across the site in 2000/01, a world without TV Home...feels hard to believe.
But I do agree with the message, it did seem inevitable in the end. With TV Home soon to disappear, I guess that only leaves TV Ark and The TV Room as the two main 'supersites'.
But at least the forum will survive. If THAT went, there'd be mass panic!

Wow, this did come as a bit of a surprise to me, though I admit I haven't been watching all that closely of late. It'll be a shame to see the site go after all this time, but I can understand how much time running a thing like this takes. Best of luck to Asa in everything he does now and er... other associated clichéd lines.

Im dissapointed to see the site close, but I think it was the right choice. I'll always regard TV branding in Britain to be first class but the latest rebrands havent showcased anything spectacular. While in the US, tv branding has slowly been improving with more UK firms getting projects here - notably Lambie-Nairn.
To be honest, I find myself spending less time on the site because there's not too much to comment on.

Big shame indeed. But, we've all got to respect Asa's decision and thank him for the site and his work over the past five years. If it hadn't been for that site, this one wouldn't be here, kids!
Long live TV Forum!

Well on that last point, we could always make it into a wiki and have the *community* maintain it.

i fail to see why it had to close, why not hand control over to somebody else. there are plenty of people here with the time and inclination to do something with the domain and 'brand' if you will.
