TV Forum: New for (the middle of) 2020

I really like it when threads are split, as we are encouraged to do. But it’s rather annoying when it happens quite far into a discussion, and the cookie ‘forgets’ where you are in it because it’s technically a new thread. For instance, I’ve been reading the Burley stuff for days, and it’s now a new thread - so I’m taken back to page 1. It happens fairly often. Is there any way this could be addressed?

I’m happy to see that despite the revamp, the sad bauble at Christmas returns!

Nice work on festive-ing up the site.
The snowglobe (complete with falling snow!) is a great new addition, and it's good to see that rotating red and gold bauble making its annual appearance.

A good idea, I’ll do that. It could get a bit confused when merging multiple threads but for a standard split should be fine.

There would be a revolt if the bauble was discontinued.

There appears to be an issue with linking to YouTube channels in the profile section. I think it's because YouTube have added /channel to the URL.

Just to say this should be avoided, Asa has updated the link to avoid the non SSL URL. Still not 100% sure what's happening bc there's nothing on the server that should trigger this. Might have to raise a support call with the hosting company.
