I'm very late to the party on this one so I'm sure these have been mentioned but having tried to use the Neon version a bit more lately two things of note:

- Firstly, would be nice to have a Multiquote feature rather than having to quote individual posts
I definitely agree with this. Can't understand why it hasn't become a standard message board feature.

I think it's a fairly recent feature for board software, isn't it? And you've got to be quoting only posts that are on the same page which seems a bit restrictive. That said, it's easy enough for it to append each quote to the Reply textbox at the bottom of the page, rather than just wipe it each time.

Thanks again for all the bug reports, they're being noted.

Is this the night we say goodnight to the old TVF?

In a word, no.

Boring server updates only. There will be one more revision to Neon running for a short while before the old one goes.

There was supposed to be a Beta update before that happened.

I have a suggestion... bring the carousel box to Neon. It gets a lot of use on the main site such as the Ceefax tribute and the recent ITV and BBC World News links.

There's a nice big space on the homepage for it too. Unless you are planning on adding it to neon but are only keeping it on the current design as it would be harder to code it for both sites?

I don't think the carousel needs to come across, to be honest. It's not supposed to fit in on the new site, and maybe it's time to move on. However, the 'ribbon' of images isn't used to it's full potential, IMO. Maybe individual images on it should change?

Just wading in here 20 pages later, so apologies if this has already been discussed, but I'd like to suggest a Thanks feature. I've found recently, whilst reading well written or interesting posts, that I don't really have much to add, but would like to express my appreciation of/agreement with their sentiment. Particularly during the two big relaunches last week, there were some very incisive, well thought-out posts that got lost in long threads full of one-line opinions that didn't really add much to the discussion. From other forums I frequent, I've found that a Thanks feature helps make the better posts stand out. It also has the useful side effect of acting as a cue to newer members of what sort of posts are appreciated by others. More carrot than stick.

Of course, I realise it's quite a big change, and can change the feeling/dynamic of a forum somewhat. I don't know much about forum software, and I've only ever seen it on vBulletin based forums, so I don't know whether it's possible with phpBB. Nonetheless, I think it's worthy of a mention, and if Asa ever has the inclination/time to implement it I would definitely welcome it.

EDIT: Having just looked through the About page I now see the forum no longer uses phpBB, so forget that bit.

I think we already have, haven't we?

I've seen the kudos idea on a few forums and seems to be quite a nice way to praise those who contribute some particularly useful or interesting posts.

When are we moving over to Neon? Another thing, I know your busy 'revamping' TV Forum, but in the future would you ever consider making a TV Forum app?

a responsive website would be a better investment
