Not sure if this has already been mentioned but, if your French is up to it, check out http://www.jfrarier.net/forums/viewforum.php?f=6.

It would appear to be this site's counterpart on the other side of the channel.

The forum is part of a large French TV site: http://www.jfrarier.net/

The "Mèdiathéque" includes several wonderful clips:

This is a start-up film used by used by Antenne 2 in the '70s. Very strange with small men in coats flying around to a solemn classical tune.

Apparently, TF1 (BBC1 in France) broadcasted their news bulletins in 1980 from a very colourful studio. And the titles are even stranger...

Another wonderful thing about French presentation is that several channels use à capella singers to accompany their jingles.
