It's plainly wrong to think that anyone that expresses differing views runs the risk of being banned. We have people all the time who disagree with each other - there would be no debates at all if we just agreed all the time! The difference is that most people can do it with being offensive. It's strange that you completely ignored the pretty clear reason for Rob finally being banned - the sexist comment. And for what it's worth it's rare for a member to be banned straight off. Rob had previously been warned on several occasions and banned from the main forum for a week. The simple fact is the majority of members are able to post on the site without issue.
And on the rota talk - whilst there are still pockets of issues ever now and then, it's much better than it was.
The whole profile page is woefully out of date and needs a bit of TLC, it is on the list! Just shows how fragmented things have become over the last few years - should I now be listing the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime too?
I spotted the errors and timeouts today too, will report back on those when I can get some data on it.

I have reluctantly decided to make this post, regarding what I feel are the plummeting standards of the TV Forum. <snip>

Just a note to say that the user profile option for 'TV systems' may need updating, as far as I know there are no domestic UK analogue terrestrial/cable/satellite services operating anymore, and Top Up TV should be removed from the digital terrestrial description as it closed a few years ago.

Just uploaded a video (to put on TVF), copied the link into the Video, Youtube box and all I get is a small player that doesn't play the clip?
Does it need to be a particular size e.g. 320x240 (the clip is 640x480) and length? (it was only 1:40 long)

Thank you!
The problem is the video format… AVI isn't supported by any browser as far as I know, only MP4, Ogg (Theora), and WebM. You need to convert it one of those formats.

I did convert to mp4 using Freemake but that didn't work either. Eventually converted it to WebM and it worked. Didn't know about the public URL's. I always left it public because I thought putting it private makes it unviewable.
