I hate how us new members are only allowed to post so many times until we're told we can't post anything until 24 hours later. I've not seen any other forum do this; not only does it seem a bit unfair but it limits your ability to join in with conversations. Could it not be made five minutes?

Could it not be 5 days?
Could it not be 5 days for people who make cruel remarks like this when they don't know if a poster has a mental condition and therefore may be emotionally affected by these kind of comments?
Use the one-post-per-day limit to your advantage. Spend 24 hours working on the most meaningful and thought-provoking post and hit it where it hurts. You'll very quickly become the most intriguing and interesting member of the forum. Except for Tumble Tower, wherever he is nowadays.

If you get this touchy over these sorts of comments,
god forbid
you ever set foot in a YouTube comment section.

Calm down dear, this isn't DS (Thankfully). I like to think we have an essence of decorum on here.
Tip for new members: Hide when any of the following events happen: Red Nose Day, Comic Relief, Eurovision, ITV launch a new ident/package, the slightest hint of Boogie Beebies in any context whatsoever and any mention of "channel nicknames". The last entry carries a "you have been warned" sticker on it in big red capital letters and the others carry a smaller sticker that says "bang head here".
There's a bug in the Twitter feed on the right column of the thread list - it's linking to @Digifiend instead of @Digifiend84. I would imagine the same thing happens on any username with a number in it.
