Agreed, it's gorgeous.
(Dare I say non-retina though... *runs away*)
There's a simple fix - throw your iDevice out of the window and you won't have to worry about Retina ever again.
It's not an iDevice it's a Retina MacBook, but thanks for the useless advice either way.
Asa made the forum logo retina and even though he didn't need to it really pops in the header on MacBooks and iPads especially, as well as on iPhone. In the new era of responsive web design and HiDPI displays retina image delivery is becoming standard across all platforms even non-Apple devices, hence the variety of javascript handlers that work server and client-side to handle delivering the appropriate @2x-sized image for the retina screens. TV Forum is leading the way with a responsive forum and retina friendly, and Asa should be commended for embracing modern design paradigms.
I was only joking yesterday anyway; the graphic was beautiful that Asa used. But on my display it was a bit blurry, that's all. I'm used to it as loads of my most commonly used sites haven't updated fully yet. And that's fine, and what you get for being a (relatively) early adopter of a technology. Believe me it was horrible when apps hadn't updated... everything 1/2 resolution, even the traffic light minimise/close buttons and text!
Anyway, can't sit around chatting, I actually have a train to catch (ironic considering our discussion in the ITV News thread) — I'll keep you posted how early/late it arrives/departs.
