Aha! The famous roll of honour is back on the homepage!

Happy New Year everyone. And a huge thanks to Asa, and Charlie and Bail, for giving us this fantastic place to hang out.

All the best.

I wonder, is that list just people who have posted or every name that is an active account.

To make a smaller more manageable list maybe it should list people who have posted 5 or more times (the forum equivalent of a speaking part).

Isn't the list anybody who's contributed in the last 12 months?

It's only a bit of fun, I expect putting all the names up is more manageable than having to organise something that will identify which users have posted at least five times this year.

Can I ask a question about the new Gallery forum - If your mock gets a low rating it obviously gets the "Your design has not received a good rating. Consider the feedback from other members, view the helpful tips and see the successful designs." But these even happens if you get a three, four or five star rating.

Previously images were hosted on a separate website but since the new site went live they’ve been served up by http://i.tvforum.co.uk This is an alias for Amazon’s hosting – for example a typical image’s “real” URL is http://i.tvforum.co.uk.s3-website-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/img/misc/photo-strip-2.png The alias is working for most people, and I’ve checked it using sites like http://www.alertra.com which all return the image so I can only think there’s some localised issue with certain ISPs and CNAMEs. Googling it has revealed little so any suggestions would be gratefully received.

I'm also experiencing this problem, only when I visit the site at work. When I check the public IP address it is listed as a UK address.
If I visit i.tvforum.co.uk, the internal error message says:
DNS Error
This Website does not exist or has no DNS name.

When I click the direct link you posted here, I can view the image.

As there are no background colours for the post-name element, it means I can't see who is posting or when the post was made, making the site very hard to navigate. I didn't have this problem before the neon launch.

I think my dad had a similar problem aliasing to an amazon hosted website, so I'll see if I can find any further information on that.

Yes, I also have all the same issues as above. I *can* however see the Christmas Bauble that's supposed to be adorning the logo (if that helps anyone in determining the fault). I can also see the images from "Latest site videos" and sometimes the calendar dates on the homepage.

So http://i.tvforum.co.uk/img/ttl-xmas-2x.png isn't showing up and http://i.tvforum.co.uk/img/misc/xmas-swirls.jpg is? Could be that the Misc folder is showing up globally and the root of the img folder is region locked, for some reason?

Well, the bauble was visable at Christmas time, but neither of the links you posted above work.

Just checked and they do, though the first one might look blank as it's white text on a transparent background.

I'll rephrase as I picked a poor choice of words Smile - The links you posted above do not work "for me". They do not resolve at all, simply giving "This page cannot be found." or similar, no matter which browser I use.

This link: http://i.tvforum.co.uk.s3-website-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/img/misc/photo-strip-2.png currently appears to work, though I'm not currently sure if it's because I have that image cached.

Confused Strange. Even if they are only showing up because they're in my cache, the links were working at the time I posted them - the Christmas logo was still in use on January 2nd. I guess you should've come back to this thread sooner. Can you see the logo now that it's back to the non-Christmas version, or are these problems you and others have described still persisting?
