I like Star Trek.

Although I note that a good 75% of all the content there is from one user.. Hmmm

Honestly I'd probably add some stuff but I keep forgetting it's even there as (at least for me) you have to scroll down.

I appreciate those who keep it up to date but some of those entries are stretching the reason for the calendar a bit.

Throwing it out there - do people actually look at it? Or the ticker at the top of the homepage (including updated pres sites)? I'm wondering whether it's a feature worth keeping for any future redesign.

I look at the Calendar on the front page all the time just to see if anything big is happen in the TV Pres World

I don't know how many people actually read the words in the ticker for pres sites as for several months at one point I was quietly sending through dedicated pseudo-haikus in the update text for TV Whirl and not one person ever noted it or asked about it. Razz However the inbound traffic stats show people do click on the ticker link.

As you say Asa it's useful for the more noteable events but recently it's been used for anything and everything rather than presentation changes and the launch of landmark events.

Hate to be kind of nitpicking but I think the feature at the bottom of the page for posts with high Kudos isn't really working because we need context. The current one is "I don't really know." and without knowing that BM11 said "but why Mavis" for the person being killed off in Corrie 10000, that sounds like a rather boring out-of-context sentence, and there's been plenty of examples before too. Maybe it could be reworked so that you can see context too with the posts before it (if required)?

#retro It'll disappear once the new design finally shows up.

As to the kudos, the new design has it presented as a standard post - so quotes, links and images. But yeah, for now just click the topic link.
