Another top podcast, Rob. Glen was a great guest. I never knew that Maidstone was set up with a full continuity suite for TVS before the idea of split continuity was shelved. Given his comments on how things worked back then, it would be very interesting to hear from someone working in continuity today on how things are done.

Again great podcast with Glen, rob! From my experience (from the scripting convo of the podcast), it depends of the arrangement but a lot of announcers still write their own scripts.

Were there ever separate local programmes for each sub region? In which case there would have been a need for separate continuity announcements?

IIRC they had split continuity when they launched in the evening although Glen came along later than that (I think when the first CG ident was introduced).

I was hoping to record a Christmas episode where I answer listener's questions about the podcast, but sadly my hectic schedule means I won't have time to do that, so instead I'm going to do a compilation episode of the best bits of the last year, and may include a few bloopers as well!
