Listened to the podcast driving home tonight. Was an awesome listen! Greg certainly has some very valid points about the state of TV currently and it is a shame that he feels as though there won't be many opportunities for him on television at the moment. All he needs is to get one show and nail it - I reckon many of us would remember him from Quizmania and I hope he doesn't give up hope for a prime-time show yet.

I absolutely agree. Thanks for your kind words.
2 more episodes to record (Matt Freestone & Trish Bertram), then a special episode to go live on Christmas Day where you get to ask me questions about the podcast and television presentation.
You can PM me here with your questions, or email them to rob.francis@tvboothpodcast.co.uk - you can send audio files as well if you'd like to be on the podcast in person!

Just listened. I thoroughly enjoyed that, especially Trish’s recollections of Pres 2 (announcing on Channel 4) and the loathed ident that was dropped. I’m a bit confused by the timeline here - Granada took over about 1994 - so which was the ident that was dropped and which one returned? I assume the one that returned was the one with a version of the 1989 Dundas score in it and the ITV appearing underneath it in time with drum beats?
EDIT: I believe I’ve found the unpopular ident - at 00:45 here:
Clean version:
And the one I suspect was resurrected:
And then edited slightly - at 01:01:
The Trish Bertram podcast chat has just gone live. It was recorded this morning, and was a lot of fun!

A very enjoyable podcast, rob. It's always nice to hear people in television who are equally as geeky and anoraky as us and so passionate about her job too.

Yes I'm pretty sure those are the idents she was refering to, I remember that the circular one didn't last long. In fact I think they were using both for a while. Now we know why... rebellion in the ranks and a power vacuum.
Great and interesting interview
