Granada North West Today
I felt Granada really upped their game in the mid-late 90s. Their idents were either gorgeous and/or lovingly quirky. Just a shame the quirky ones didn't last all that long and are therefore quite tricky to come by online, not least the (AFAIK) single YouTube upload of their 1997 Christmas ident.

Also love the Granada "setting the standard" flags idents but don't remember them on screen.
Were those only used before the news? With a standard blue stripe one at other times?

I think so from previous discussions, though there seems to be loads of them considering how infrequently they were used (and only for a year or so), especially in comparison to the plain stripe, which at the time seemed rather dull, though we had the luxury of Central as our main region, with Granada and HTV through other aerials. I do think those early 90s stripes though have aged very well indeed.
It's great that everybody gets sarcasm.

Surprised this hasn't been touched upon yet but one of the things I really liked about the old TV Ark was that pretty much every video had some sort of description attached to it which provided context.

It's a real shame that those descriptions weren't transferred to the new site - having them helped me watch videos I otherwise wouldn't have

The video descriptions are still there under the 'i' button, a shame it requires an extra click.

Tyne Tees Look North (North East)
the spelling and grammar errors and attitude of the person who does it is very off-putting

I believe 623058 formally of this parish is responsible for that. Which explains both of those things.

We are currently being told how much the Nine Network disliked The Young Doctors due to its cancellation and scheduling of it, much the same way as how Anglia hated Emmerdale Farm as they showed it at 5.15pm.

Not a great advert for the site, to be honest.
