The TV Ark is a site I'd more look upon for older material and not the new Trails of BBC ONE etc. I've found it very useful for old clips from the 80's etc etc and a job well done to you all.

Now TheTVRoom. This I used to visit to get what I didn't at TV Ark and found it very easy to use with the menu down the side. Since it was re-designed it's sort of put me off because the menu is all crammed into the top of the page and on some pages there is this huge spread from one end of the browser to wherever the page ends about 750/650 pixels later. This to me is like a wall of text and puts me off reading. If I do read it I usually just quickly skim it and pick out the key words and make my own version up in my head.

But both sites are a vast archive of TV Pres info even if not designed as best they could be.

A BBC continuity section, featuring classic promos and stings, is in preparation and will go live once I can find some more examples, especially from the early years. So keep watching!

im only 12 so i dont no either site. are they good? they sound a bit boring.

Eh?
You don't have to be a certain age to look at websites (although a limit to reading forums may be an idea). If you think TV pres sites are boring, why register at a TV presentation forum.

What age limit were you thinking of? I'm 24 - what about 25+

It can be slow, but the qualtiy and information is a class act. I recently downloaded the old 1/6 o'clock news and the quality is brill!

Well done TV ROOM!

I wouldn't have said so - both TV Ark and The TV Room cover everything pres-wise from the 1950s to the present day. Though it is fair to say old idents have more of a cult following than today's efforts...

Well TV Ark, TV Home, TV Whirl... all great sites. I doff my cap to you all. Very Happy

These sites contain interesting info, it is just people have different and prefeered interests and topics. Thanks to all who run these sites. Many people may be critical (which can be useful if it is constructive) but these sites are free after all. I'm sure most people would rather have sites to view that they may not be totally happy with than no sites at all.

Keep it going!!!

For the record, TV Ark is updated every nanosecond, is as dead as Sue Lawley, as unwelcome as 'An Evening with Shaw Taylor' and as useless as a people carrier.

Thank you for your interest...

I just noticed the update a few minutes ago and I would like to say Well Done and Thank You basically, on the whole the site is great and tonight's update has been promising. But can anyone tell me; Will there be more updates to the ITV Breakfast Section coming? As you have added a great rare one there!
