Updated the Scottish pages to reflect this information. To be fair, the pages were originally written in 2001, pre You-Tube evidence. Might just have to spend an evening watching YouTube instead of regular TV!

* Late 1989 - 1992 actually come in much much early, I hate to say I have no idea what month but it does explain why STV used "NEW" Late version of Thistle on the ITV 1989 idents instead of the old one.
Thanks for digging further, I've update the site to reflect the launch of this ident being in January 1989. This is the closest date any of the information on the Internet I have found can identifiy this design of the thistle.
With regards to the Generic Scottish ident, it was a video provided to me by Mark McMillian at the end of 2000 before he went onto TV Room.

It seems I have found another clips this time from 88, which as the "newer" logo on it, I just double checking with someone else aswell. so I have the prober proof to make this claim!
