Are they still going? (August 2009)

This site closed in March 2021 and is now a read-only archive

I recently tried to get in touch with Transdiffusion regarding an article I'd written and wished to submit to them for consideration for the site. I used the address billed on the site (editors@...) and the e-mail bounced back, so I used the emc@... address, also billed on the site, about a week and a half ago, and as yet I've not received any response from any of the Transdiffusion team. It's unusual, as any time I'd previously contacted the site, I'd get an email back almost immediately from one of the team.

Presently, the site's most recently published article is led by the third installment of the late Simon Luxton's series of Grange Hill articles; however, it looks like their blog is still being updated, with the last post dated 10th August.

Does anyone know if the Transdiffusion site is still receiving offers for contributions to the site, or have the team put the site on hiatus?

The team are probably all on holiday, or they're getting a lot of emails.

I've brought this thread to the attention of Transdiffusion's Kif Bowden-Smith, who doesn't have an account here but asked me to post a reply on his behalf.

Everything is operating normally, although due to administrative issues they are updating the site quarterly rather than monthly. Monthly updates will resume in November.

Kif isn't aware of any reason why your email shouldn't have got through but with only a TVF username to identify you it's impossible to check anything. But Transdiffusion is still going, new articles are welcome, and he asks that you try sending it again!

Oh, Kif knows me alright, you can tell him it was only Collie Smile
