"Welcome! It's 6 o'clock on Sunday March 30th, and this is five!"

Those were the words that were announced at the launch of the UK's fifth terrestrial television channel, Channel 5. Now six years to the day, a new website launches, celebrating everything five, and this is it!

We have the biggest collection of Channel 5/five idents, with over 100 videos of the main idents, then there's the videos from the news presentation (mainly current), and we are the only website with Channel 5's Children's presentation.

Anyway the for the first update we have 3 new files, previously not available on tvBOX have been added. On the 'history' page is a prelaunch promo, with thanks to Terence of tvwhirl for that.

On the 'idents:1999-2000' page is a a short ident from the era with no voice over.

I can't answer that, you'll have to ask Terence.

Anyway, just to let you know I've added a poll on the homepage, depending on how popular it is I may have more in the future (providing I can think of some, suggestions anyone?). Also after a suggestion from Richard Hall, I've added a 'latest news' page, with the latest news relating to five. I'll try and keep it up to date but I'm not promising anything.

I saw the question, but I didn't want to answer, as I didn't think it right to hijack Ashley's new site thread. Still, to give a quick answer, it'll be sometime after Easter, as I'll be working on a big update during the holidays.

Good update. I like the little tweak to the site design as well. Nice to see the 3D graphics you do so well making a return!

Well my exams are over so it's back to regular updates (hopefully), a little refreash of the look of the site (i've a little spare time on my hands while I look for a job).

Anyway, this week has seen the release of another batch of idents, we've got seven of them in this update along with five that have been around a while.

These new ones are rather good I think.
First thers 'five & chips' (thers a mention of a fish for a start) a nice ident that made me smile when I first saw it.

And then theres 'cyclists', each time the cyclists pass, just count how many there are.

Also we see some variation i how the logo appears in 'microlight', where it drops from the top, and 'machine', where it appears from behined something.

And we take a walk with a group of people and come across a signpost, but what is the way to rothersay? The signpost points in opposite directions, both say 'Rothersay 2'.

It's been a while, and I'm having a fewe technical problems with my computer, but a quick update this week. In preparation for the new look on October 13th, the five news section has been improved. I've split it into three main sections, each with two pages which include lots of pictures.

Well its been nearly a month but I'm still going, The oprning and closing titles to five news are now up along with the second version of the "live action short pre-news" ident.
