I've got the little arsewipe's IP - it's 62.254.0.11.

Can one of the mods find out which member on here has used that IP?

I didn't think to note the IP's of the earlier offending post, but I've now blocked that one, and if he/she turns out to be the only troublemaker, I may consider reopening that temporary forum if there's call for it.

I think you'll find it's NOT his real IP address. It is in fact the address of the proxy server(s) which are forced upon all who have an ntl: broadband connection. As these caches are at the local POP, you may be denying access to a whole area of people if you do block the IP.

So this person has an ntl broadband connection AND lives near Nottingham (cache8-nott.server.ntli.net)

I have a forum, it's currently being built as I type... Wink

In other words its you?

No it is not. Don't you dare jump to such conclusions without having any firm proof. Evil or Very Mad Mad

And for the record, I do not live any where near Nottingham!

lol so your NOT in NOTtingham? Don't ge yourself in a Nought.
Naughty person.

Just been doing a bit of perusing the memberlist.

I've got a few possible suspects. I may be totally wrong so I'm not going to reveal who they are or even drop hints but a combination of information in their profile and similarities of posting style (I have no doubt that all abuse of my forum came from the same person, and they did make one post with more than 1 word in it). I shall however be scrutinising all their posts on here with a fine toothcomb, and if I'm sure about who it is I shall challenge them, and if I manage to establish that it is them, I'll reveal who they are.

To that little tosspot: this matter is not closed. Get s**tty with me and find out how much I can get s**tty back.

With ntl it's pretty easy to find other proxy servers to use (ntl ones).

Last acadamic year on ntl:world dial up here in Nottingham i was using the Manchester one as it was far more reliable, so that person could be anyware in the UK (provided they are using ntl:world) [i'm on BT Broadband now]

Try now - I should have 'activated' you. Wink

Edit - I've signed myself up as 'Test User' and I have got my activation email, so I don't know why you haven't got yours. Confused

Yeah, I remember Maximillan trashing the forum.

The forum is now open for business. Clicky

Please note that you will have to be registered to post; and you will have to validate your email address as a security measure.

There are two forums - one for 'serious' chat and another for forum games and banal threads.

Tripod really isn't the best host for a forum, the mySQL is really slow at times.

Are you using a IP address to attempt to desguise the fact its Lycos Rolling Eyes Razz

Oh my God.

MrTomServo hasn't shut this thread down yet! Somebody's being a bit slow, aren't they?

It really is who you know, not what you know on these forums, isn't it?

I'm glad I didn't vote for him in the 4th Mod elections.

Why should it be closed down? Nothing has been said about the closure of the lounge, it is simply a thread discussing other alternatives.

Indeed, I'd think they'd want it left open - if someone succeeds in getting a workable lounge replacement up, they might never want to bring the old lounge back again.
