Skyinfo - Part of DVBinfo

I have shut down my site Skyinfo with a purple coloured holding screen untill the confusion has died down in america.

I feel TV Forum should make some sort of statement not a colour change, but perhaps an american flage behind the TV Forum Logo and a short message on the front page.

So I offer my condolences publicly on the forum to reiterate the statement on my front page.

Why just Skyinfo? Why not the whole site?

I am not responsible for the rest of DVBinfo, the owner has been away, i will ask him his plans, i think friday's day of mourning is when he will close it

mdta - that was a very nice gesture you did to close your site.

I agree - maybe a notice/flag on the main page would be nice (I'm sure there are some people who live in America/NYC who post here)

As much as I have deep sorrow and I'm totally gutted about this darkest week for America, I don't think closing websites is really nessesary, other than for attention seeking perhaps?

They won't score many hits anyway.

I agree a bit OTT.

I changed my site's colours as a mark of respect. But I wouldn't close my site. I would report on the event if it was open. It's closed just now because it's not open yet.

But everybody has their own oppinions and beliefs.

I really don't see how you have the nerve to accuse MDTA of being OTT: We all have our own way of mourning, and who's to say which are right or wrong? All I know is that if this is how Martin sees best to gesture his condolences then so be it - it should NOT be up for dispute.
