I've noticed that STV have been particuarly fab in adding a lot of archive TV series online to both their own site and YouTube. An example that stands out is that every episode of the soap Take the High Road have been uploaded and are available to watch for free.

Since the BBC have also uploaded a few archive programmes like Tomorrow's World, is there a chance we may in the future be able to watch every episode of, say, EastEnders?

A number of STV show have yet to appear because of rights issues or because there worth some some commercial money like Fun house... as it stands there may be Channel whiling to broadcast Eastenders episodes meaning there would be kept off the player Sad

Kay Adam's hideous chat show "Scottish Women" is magnificent. The manner in which she says "thex" during her prudish chat with a bunch of old spinsters is a delight.

I don't think the BBC could ever make (effectively) editorial decisions based on a programme's commercial value.

I think BBC Worldwide could.
