They need to get some more content deals done - BBC and Channel 5 isn't really enough.

Also, not sure if anyone linked to this, but here it is - http://blog.seesaw.com/2011/07/reports-of-our-death-have-been-greatly.html

C5 now gone from the site. It really looks like it's on its last legs now. Absolutely no catch-up content but they've left all the catch-up references up.

Oh dear, it really doesn't look good does it? Lots of grey spaces and bad puns.

Very bare indeed.

Things like http://www.seesaw.com/catchuptv/11092011:All-Channels being empty don't bode well.

To think only some five months ago they were so adamant they'd be sticking around too.. oh well, writing was on the wall for quite a long time, blame could be attributed in some way to barely anyone knowing it existed.

Hmm. I would say it's a shame to see it go, but I never really found any use for it.

It ended up being iPlayer but with some older archive BBC programmes available.

Nothing much very worthwhile in the end.

The reason for the shutdown? The investors money that was promised never arrived - http://paidcontent.co.uk/article/419-seesaw-shuts-after-buy-out-cash-fails-to-arrive/

Another reason for the shutdown? Nobody knew it existed as already suggested!

The next logical step - http://www.youview.com/ - although won't be available streaming via a web browser as far as I understand - only via a set top box with a broadband connection.
