The online TV service SeeSaw is aiming to launch in March, with content from partners including BBC Worldwide, Channel 4 and Channel Five.
The service, built from the assets of ITV, Channel 4 and BBC Worldwide's defunct Project Kangaroo video-on-demand venture, will start a closed, invite-only trial tomorrow.
SeeSaw is hoping to build up the number of users for its trial over the course of about a month to 10,000, with the aim of offering about 3,500 hours of TV content at launch by March.
It is understood that the service will offer a combination of free advertising-supported content and paid-for programming, the latter mostly from the US.

No, I assumed that I wasn't put forward.

Did anyone who weren't successful the first time receive an email from Seesaw the other day?
No, I assumed that I wasn't put forward.

I'm very sorry I was mistaken - it arrived in Spam 5 days ago.
My bad.

Just note the trial is due to start, there's absolutely no guarantee that everyone will be invited at the beginning. I'd very much doubt it actually. Probably less than 100 will get the code today, then they'll ramp up over the coming five weeks.
It's interesting to see the screen on the linked more recent MG article looks so much like the iPlayer, it's uncanny. The Kangaroo heritage is plain to see and hasn't been disguised at all.
I note Brand Republic is stating that they've signed Cadbury, Nivea and Sainsbury as lead advertisers for the launch.

Doomed to failure. Have you ever tried to open a bar of chocolate when you've just moisturised your hands?
