So why are the YOUTUBE taking the videos down? if its losses earnings then why not give said companies the ad music or get rid of the ads?
Because YouTube is a different beast to a presentation website. Essentially, in order to placate the copyright holders they've given them push button ability to take videos down. This was intended to stop whole episodes of TV programmes and films from being shared over YouTube.
YouTube video removals of presentation content are the exception rather than the rule; I suspect the copyright holders aren't actually bothered about it (and it's just getting 'sucked in' in their searches for other stuff).
1 - that's not relevant, Sky had a trademark issue here, not a copyright one
