I noticed that the BBC Radio 1 website has gotten a well needed revamp. One new feature is that you can see the Incoming SMS texts popluar words and you can change the site colours by clicking on a box in the sidebar.

That's been around for quite a long time. Very Happy

I do like the "new" look though - it's the sort of thing that'll stay looking fresh for a long time. Especially because you're now able to customise the page's colour scheme and layout.

Very well done.

The incoming SMS tag cloud seems a bit random - almost as if the Beeb just developed/licensed a flash tag cloud script then realised they had no idea what to use it for.

I notice that you can't actually rearrange the boxes in Firefox.

Customising the background and colours is nice, but utterly pointless as it only applies to the front page.

I don't get the Contact Us page on there.

If you go to www.bbc.co.uk/radio1 and click on Contact Us on the left, it loads up a Radio 1 page (which is good).

But if you refresh that page or go directly to its URL (http://www.bbc.co.uk/feedback/), it displays the BBC.co.uk help pages. Odd.

erm no.

it's ALWAYS done that, for years.

bbc.co.uk/feedback reads the referral info, and directs you to the applicable feedback page for the site you were on, or otherwise just sends you to a generic one.

I see. My mistake.
