You hope that 3 websites documenting the most money grabbing, idiotic end of the EPG don't appear and 3 come at once.

What is the point in Psychic Television, and more to the point, a fan site about it?

I may not be the best person to talk having launched successfully 2 websites. One about shopping tv and one about quiz tv, but Psychic TV is tipping the scale of sadness.

Anyway, I won't be launching a psychic tv site Daniel, so I wish you the best of luck with it.

What has The Cable Authority got to do with it?

I for one cannot believe that PsychicTelly.com is the ONLY website dedicated to psychic television channels.

What has The Cable Authority got to do with it?

The Cable Authority regulated satellite and cable channels prior to the arrival of the ITC in 1991. Now of course the situation is much worse with one regular not just for all TV, but all communications as well!

The TV division clearly needs splitting into two, one governing multichannels and the other governing what will soon be known as "former analogue terrestrial broadcasters"; it might help keep some of the worst excesses of satellite from encroaching onto BBC1, BBC2, ITV, C4 and C5.

It gave out and promoted cable franchises (the companies that dug up the streets and are now mostly NTL/Telewest/Virgin). It had a small part in looking after programming but that was minimal. It certainly had no say over satellite broadcasters who were virtually free to do what they wanted at the time (excpet BSB of course)

Have you never heard of 'convergence'?

The point of OFCOM looking after everything is because it's impossible to have seperate regulators for diffrent parts of the communications industry when phone companies are supplying TV, ITV are supplying satellite channels and rado is broadcast on the TV!

It's also worth remembering that cable/satellite/digital channels (and radio) have been doing 'psychic' programming for many years, L!ve TV filled many an evening with it.

Simon, is there anything at all you wouldn't like to see tighter regulation on?
