Five's text-only service is a laughing stock! It says copyright Channel 5 - fair enough, it's still listed as that on the FTSE. But it also has a Flash banner ad, which defeats the purpose of a no-flash version of the site!

How daft is that? Anyway, fancy needing Flash 6 to read websites, when IE comes with Flash 5 by default. (the banner ads can be seen in Flash 5, unlike the rest of the site)

Em but Channel 5 is registered as Channel 5, but has been branded as 'five' so technically it is still Channel 5 - I think,

Also if the site has been coded correctly the flash banner coding will automatically update your browser with the version of flash it requires if needed.

Although really I see no relevance of this thread to be honest. Rolling Eyes

Even Five still call it, if you have seen some of the endboards it usually does have "Copyright Channel 5 Broadcasting 2003"

Didn't know that Five were on the stock market, I knew RTL (C5's owners) are.
