New ITV Forum

A discussion board to cut down on anti-ITV threads (July 2006)

This site closed in March 2021 and is now a read-only archive

As requested by many users on Digital Spy, I have created a site and discussion board devoted entirely to people who feel ITV is underacheiving. This is a plan to cut down on the amount of anti-ITV threads both here and on Digital Spy, and put everything about ITV in one place (I know many users are sick of duplicate anti-ITV threads).
The site explains how ITV has met its current state, and the forum board is a place where users can submit their views on what they think of ITV, both positive and negative. Do not post on the campaign/forum saying I am wasting my time; the site was created in about 20 mins and everything about it was done for free.
The address? www.noitv.co.nr

I'm not particulary bothered; it's not my space the site is wasting! I set it up, and that's that. It took 30 mins. People asked for it = they got it.

I can't say much here so, it's fine to have an anti-ITV forum but I just want to see if it hits big and I may join if there's enough to talk about because I obviously hate ITV1. And FYI I'm going to Scotland at the end of the month and perhaps I'll get a chance to see some STV presentation if I find a TV that is.

Well the forum went up tonight; the site has been around for about a month, so don't expect it just yet! If you want it to get bigger, spread the URL. I make nothing off it so do what you want! Very Happy

Why, one cannot help wondering, do you commence your post with the single most important reason for NOT doing something?

Have you not realised that the perceived requirements of the members of Digital Spew are, probably, the most illogical collection of random thoughts on the planet?

The fact that two members of Digital Spew appear to share the same views usually means that they simply share the lunch table in the same ward at the same mental home.

Sites like this are totally pointless. You've got a "petition" which isn't even a petition, it is a guest book. Similarly, the wording on your site suggests that any comments written on the Message Board will directly affect the decisions of ITV - when, quite frankly, it is laughable - I might aswell start a thread on world poverty.

I don't understand why you're trying to take away posts about ITV from DS and TV Forum - if people get annoyed by anti-ITV threads, they usually ignore them - I don't like garlic so I don't eat it. I don't go and start a campaign telling people about the story of garlic, and the way people should be educated about its' downfall, and ask people to leave messages saying how garlic should be changed.

Yet another anti-ITV thread, I admit ITV has made some stupid decisions, but I'm fed up with these "petitions" they do nothing, and there is nothing on there suggesting how it should be improved.

I never said it will affect ITV directly, it is no longer a petition. They are not needed because broadcasters do not listen to petitions. The site is totally pointless; I wrote it quickly, its not wasting my webspace. I have more important things to look after, so it don't bother me what you say about it. The site is of an educational nature, not to influence any views of ITV.

Eww garlic is horrible! Well, people were sick of anti-ITV threads both here and in DS. Its completely optional, no-one is forcing anyone to join, and as I say, I will not be doing anything more to the site or forum. And it's no campaign, its just the facts. No one needs to believe them, I know many people who are satisfied with ITV. They are there for their purpose, and it needs no more. If people want to read them; they will, no skin off my nose.

An element of that statement is true; people post there discussing things which are not physically possible, like the recent closure of Big Brother interactive on Freeview. There are so many users who cannot understand why "channel 305" has had to close so FilmFour on channel 31, as "they are on different channels"
