Might be a bit 'old school' but don't you think finding a subject (maybe one you like) and base a forum around that first? Rather than registering a forum then wanting people to suggest what it could be about?

Good idea. That's what messed up my first ever forum. You want to find something that not a lot of forums cover, and work on that idea to make it the best. Oh, and I would suggest getting some proper hosting. I've been with Invision Free, and the amount of things you can do with it are limited (unless you know how to skin it of course)
