That's definetely a real voice because it's the girl who does the spiel on the talkup version at the end of the promo. They do sound like something produced using an Amiga 500 or something, though!
Who did the pres for the other two big Internet stations, CMP and Livewire?

Personally, I think that the jingles on the livewire websites a cringe-worthingly bad.

I personally think that the best internet radio stations are the ones which are chat-based, rather than music-based. This makes it unique to the other thousands of stations around.
If I want to listen to music, I'll get it off Kazaa. I'd like to see Livewire return as a chat based station, but I know the chances are near-impossible.

The early ones, I agree (bleurgh @ even hearing them) - the later ones I actually quite like when they're mixed with music anyway, they fit in rather well IMO...
I agree to a certain extent... but chat-based stations are few and far between on the net for the simple reason that in general they don't get as many listeners! There are a few about, but for something like that you really need a hell of a lot of people who're willing to get involved - and seeing as some FM stations struggle for that kind of thing, I can't see it being successful on the net. Shame really.
Anyway, having dragged this thread far too far off track, I just spotted this on News Online!
