Mocks on Youtube that shouldn't be online...

...because they are so dreadful it's unreal. Mockers blame Saville and BBC for coverup (November 2009)

I don't think his past is at all relevant. He's a liar, and he now seems to be making libellous comments against people who genuinely provide a service.

That thread seems to have stirred at least one Copyright holder to take action - all power to it.

Being Disabled is not a Get Out of Jail Free card and using it as such is abhorrent to me.

The thread's been closed to comments. Mr. Williams' last comments are disturbing to say the least...

Yes, that came out of the blue didn't it!

I liked one of the last comments:

I don't think any excuse can be made for Chris Williams' behaviour; he has twisted and turned, hasn't given consistent answers (which suggest he cannot possibly believe his own nonsense and isn't living in some rigid mental bubble) - in fact only other thing I am sure of is that he's being deliberately misleading in so many ways, and doesn't want to apologise for what he's doing or make amends.

It's sheer stubbornness taken to the max. But really, I'm just dreading the day when a researcher stumbles upon one of his videos and thinks it's exactly what they're after.

If you think these things would never slip through the net for TV broadcast, you only have to look at the Panorama episode from Jan 2009 with various scary 'BBC Globes' from some other YT mock uploader... Just as bad - if not worse - should they chance upon Mr Williams' stuff when needing a reference for how TV was in a certain year; they'll come away thinking all broadcasters had to pause for an interval before every other bloody programme. Never say never...

The videos he uploads may not have accurate content, but they seem like an accurate reflection of himself, seeing as they completely lack integrity.

Which episode was that?

cwilliams comes out to married gay man

To be fair, he did come out a few years ago on the comments section of a video he stole from Peter Thomas's YouTube account.

26th Jan, I think...

I read the Transdiffusion article the other day but didn't look at the comments until last night. What a bizarre ending, I'm not sure why Russ brought up being gay in the first place but CWilliams response is just wow!

I'm not sure what I feel about the whole cwillams1976 situation, he's obviously got some 'issues' (if that's the best way to put it) so he is not really open to logical discussion over his clips, opinions, view of facts etc. The other issue is that what he's doing on YouTube isn't really any more against their rules than it is for any of us who have got TV clips on there. They're factually wrong.... but when has that ever stopped anything being posted on YouTube?

I'm worried that if his videos are flagged up to broadcasters and YouTube then they might start looking into other clips.

I only have two problems with Chris, I'm trying to keep out of this as much as I can tbh...

1) Taking videos without permission. If someone wants to use a clip that I have uploaded to be used somewhere else for instance in a mock, then if they let me know they have done that via PM I'm not going to stop anybody, I don't own any copyright, all I have done is upload them to the internet, I DOG my clips when possible to make sure that the credit goes the right way, ie to the original broadcaster.

2) He should at least title his clips as MOCK at the start of the name, intially this was misleading when he started uploading sometime ago but now it can be annoying when links to his mocks are linked with other clips that aren't mocks.

He PM'ed me the other day to say he doesn't do any satellite mocks, only BBC, ITV and C4, even though he had recently took a clip of mine and mocked it up his way.

A last, desperate, roll of the dice.

A terrible, non-politically correct thing to admit, but gay people tend to put our shared experience of life ahead of other considerations (political, social, geographical etc). We have something fundamental in common that transcends other considerations.

Although that might be my (now old-fashioned) anti-Clause 28, AIDS-era mentality shining through, of course. The world has moved on from the days that I was holding placards up in front of Conservative party conferences, just as having been arrested in front of South Africa House, or outside of Flamingoland's dolphin enclosure, or having a North Yorkshire policeman break my nose with his baton when I was handcuffed inside a police van after I was stopped while huntsabbing now sounds insane to modern rational people. I'm one of Mrs Thatcher's children and it's taking time for me to learn that a whole generation has passed since my views were in the slightest bit relevant.

So I'm not embarrassed to have tried playing the "gay card" with Mr Williams. I am, however, embarrassed for his creepy reaction. If he is as calculating as he appears, then closing the thread was what he wanted. Nevertheless, I closed it because there was nowhere to go but down from where he had positioned himself.

Yes, the sheer amount of clips he has uploaded - over 1,600 now (doesn't YouTube have an account limit?) makes it very difficult to search or browse for pres-related clips. Despite being aware of his account I've still accidently clicked on one in the past so others must do thinking they're authentic

Yes, and I suppose it's a case of trying to find some common ground and gaining his confidence.

When I first read the discussion I didn't know that he had already outted himself elsewhere so it sounded even more out of the blue.

Yes, there was no-where else to go after that really. Has there been any progress since?
