Surely it's his for the moment, he just needs to renew it?

Erm, no, because it's not up for sale.

Errm, no, it hasn't been re-registered so it's available to buy - use your common sense before attempting very badly to make someone look dumb when your the one who looks dumb now.

That isn't how it works. For a while (I can't remember how long exactly, and it may vary from registrar to registrar) it enters a sort of holding period where the original owner can renew it without issue. After a while (about 6 weeks or so I think), it starts to get a bit harder - I believe the original owner generally has to pay more to renew, and then its longer still until it's completely open. There's all sorts of sites that offer back-ordering type shtuff to try and nosey one's way in to snap it up fastest as soon as the clock ends, but if for whatever reason it wasnt to be renewed, it'd be a while yet until that becomes an issue.

Erm, no. You get some leeway with domain renewal - something like 60 days - in which to pay up before the domain gets put back on the market. So metropol247.co.uk is currently suspended, but not for sale.

Funnily enough this happens when Martin decides to give up his responsibilities on Metropol to somebody else.

Interestingly its former IP address (217.206.220.183) is currently timing out.

Don't panic, James Martin will be along shortly with a link to his very own free speech forum.

Phew. We can all discuss racist matters together, without fear of that evil Gavin Scott banning us.

I've never liked cheese and onion anything to be honest. I only ever take ready salted or plain stuff.

I quite like Brannigans roast beef and Mustard. We want to be careful here though. The salt and vinegar chipsticks could get upset and play the discrimination card.

So is our friend Mr Scott likely to give us a progress report on the return of Metropol?

I had assumed he was away, as he didn't post on Metropol between 28th May and its demise; yet there have been posts from him on here, I see.

I think we should be told!
