Looking to start a website

A few tips and ideas needed (August 2007)

This site closed in March 2021 and is now a read-only archive

I'm looking to start a site on broadcaster's websites. It would archive working versions of past, present and future (mocks) websites of television broadcasters. I am planning on making a website on this as there are too many screen capture websites. Basically I am looking for a good name rather than the one I thought of - Broadcaster website archives.

Thanks to anyone who could help.

TV Forum already has its own abbreviation expert, don't you start!

Can anyone suggest ideas quick? I'm hoping to start designing it tomorrow.

it take days, weeks months to do this type of thing well, so the name should be the lease of your worries

Something fresh, something modern, just use one word that means something important...like Semeai (pronounced sem-ee-eye) - it means "Japanese Warrior"! Or somehting simpler that doesn't mean anything but sounds interesting, like Compia or MediaNet.

Ikkan is Japanese for "link."

I can make a logo for it for free, if you like.

Only took me 3 days to set TV Live up...

But that's because you use a CMS so there isn't much work to do in terms of designing and structuring the site.

Doesn't matter what you use really, it's what is easiest for you that matters.
