I would like to draw attention to a little website called Logopedia, a wiki site about branding and logos. The backbone of the site are timelines which showcase a brand's evolution. If the article has been worked on, there is further information about the changes, and what agencies were behind, as well as links to other articles, websites and videos of relevance.

While the site is about brands in general, the parts which deal with television brands are easily the most compelling and elaborate. Some pages provide links to TV presentation sites, all gathered in one place. Others contain links to idents on Youtube.

I hope you guys find it interesting, perhaps enough to become contributors.

A few links to get people started:
http://logos.wikia.com/wiki/Logopedia <- The main page
http://logos.wikia.com/wiki/Logopedia:Good_articles <- A few articles which aren't as poor as the other
http://logos.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Television <- The portal page for television related brands
http://logos.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Television_channels_in_the_United_Kingdom <- For television channels from the UK
http://logos.wikia.com/wiki/Logopedia:Recent_logos#Recent_logos <- Recent rebrands

(And yes, I know that there are lots gaping holes in the wiki, but those can filled. And some images seem stolen from other presentation sites. But the site has potential.)
