I've always wondered...

...why we can't have avatars here at TV Forum.

Any specific reason? It just seems kind of strange.

If you read the FAQ:

Oh, that clears it up nicely.

However, there is an option to restrict avatars to a certain width and height and file size.

Also, you can make people host the avatars on a different server.

The words ' too much hassle' bring to mind!

Must admit with everybody having broadband now, and most people having their own webspace of sorts, i don't see a reason why we can't have avatars. It adds a bit of personality to a message. Nick can have his train!!

Taking into account the number of idiot trolls on here who would have vast animating avatars I think the current situation is fine.

The lack of vast signatures ala MDR is also to be applauded.

Metropol has avatars by the way, although they have to be of your face, not trains or simpsons characters.

What on earth would he have to say about the demise of Central News East?

There would have to be be a special signature with a black border, I think.

His creations were never able to fit in a signature, they had to fill the whole screen and so as to have Marie Ashby grinning as hugely as possible.

I must admit that the same thoughts crossed my mind when I started reading the thread about ITV regions being axed/merged.

MDR was a troll that posted really awful Central News mocks that did not follow safe areas.

Anyway, why is Mouse allowed to have a punching cat avatar and I'm not allowed to have Homsar?
