Was for me last night :S
And something is up with the local and news websites, no updates since yesterday lunchtime. This happened a few weeks ago and the sites had to be taken down replaced with an error message.
And wishful thinking but maybe an upgrade or update to the design?

I echo sentiments that the This Morning site is very good. I fully agree, it is an excellent and functional site, really nicely designed.

Only thing that they could improve would be the URLs (some are long and look silly) and the line spacing. Other than that, certainly a great site to work from when redesigning the rest!

I think the navigation is awful.

My thoughts about ITV Local websites
I have to say ITV.com/wales are making a good job out of the local service. Obviously the local service is very limited in what it can do but ITV.com/wales by what I have been seeing when I check back there is updates throughout the day with there morning and lunchtime bulletins. Stories are added quite frequently too. They have also signed up to a wordpress blog which is a good idea as it means that they can update on the news stories even if they haven't got a video. And like so every region they have embraced Twitter and Facebook with regular updates.

I live in a place where I watch both London and Meridian and for me the Meridian website is very good while ITV London not so good. In recent days they have started to be more frequent in updating stories and are starting to upload the lunchtime updates. There twitter feed is updated frequently and they have just started to use facebook.

ITV London on the other hand is not so good. And from what I see from looking through all the different regional news websites is one of the worst. Its stories are usually updated after the programme is updated and usually later than other regions. The programme usually is last to and at weekends the Saturday bulletin is even uploaded most of the time. There twitter feed is updated (with one of two posts) and then doesn't get updated for a few weeks. And the less said about there facebook the better!

The worst thing I have seen from ITV.com/local sites is with a morning update at ITV Border, it was about 40 seconds long. Thank god I don't live up there!

I was just wondering what fellow members feel about there local site.

When the calendar site launched, there was about 2 stories uploaded per day (up until around march) there is now around 5/6 reports per day, however they all are updated at 6. There has recently been the publication of morning news, however they offer no catchup service for lunchtime, weekend and late news. Very rarely, the site is updated on a weekend.

They push the facebook site more often than the itv.com site.

That is very sad to here that they have more trust in facebook then they do ITV.com.
What itv.com have got to understand is that they people do not want the news when they have just seen it on the 6pm programme. The problem is with the video, if they have no video report then most regions aren't going to bother updating are they. If the story was just an article which could feature a video then it would be much better.

All the local sites have been shut down while the full programme has also been closed on the national sites.
The ITV.com team are hoping the sites will be up again by 7.30pm

I'm not sure if there is going to be any changes its just there have been problems with updating. All the reports are uploaded via a server in London. This error happened a few months ago and was resolved within four days. Now though it seems to be taking a little longer.
