It seems that the old pages with videos and loads of links for Soap, Drama, Comedy And Entertainment etc have gone in its place are new pages in the style of the TV Shows page which feature a picture and text for the show. Really good IMO because they don't need to waste time updating them pages.
Brand New Weather site launched, nothing to shout from the roof tops about but it is quite nice and miles better than before, I also welcome the latest national forecast video being played

Normally after the first episode of any new show starts, they update the site.
Where are the cast/character profiles, the behind the scenes videos, the episode guides etc
For anyone who do not know yet the brand new and long awaited ITV News site WILL launch on Monday, all the top stories plus the latest news bulletin in full, news blogs and more about the team will be on the site
So the BBC are planning a major redesign of their already superior offering, spanning the homepage, news, sport and more.
It will leave ITV even further behind. It's still not good enough! I hope they can see this and pay a decent agency to handle relaunching ITV.com properly.

Sadly ITV it seems for the near future will always be behind, however things are improving on the website, the actual page designs seems to be better, ITV Player is looking a whole lot better and a brand new News service launches tomorrow. The ITV do there best with there team and funds, sadly the option to hire more staff is not an option for a "cash strapped ITV".
For people who think ITV's website is behind the times, have any of you looked at Channel 4's website?
It looks very old fashioned. Its also left aligned apart from the homepage, all the links, buttons etc are old fashioned, small text. It just generally doesn't look appealing at all.
At least the majority of itv.com is now looking half decent. Though they seriously need to sort the Emmerdale website out quickly!!

Emmerdale for many years at ITV has been the least of their worries, Emmerdale never gets the same treatment as Coronation Street never many promotional videos and even when they is they are not as good as the street ones. Emmerdale definantly needs the press it deserves. I thought ITV wanted to not be so much London-centric and make more programmes up north. Well then Emmerdale should get more press, advertising and marketing more than what it is at the moment.

According to www.alexa.com - channel4.com is the 64th most popular website in the UK, with itv.com 32 places behind them.
The mighty bbc.co.uk is in 6th place.

I'm no businessman but if they create a world-class service they will reap significant advertising rewards, no?
It just strikes me ITV is completely unprepared for the internet TV age. The site is still a total mess.
