Are you trying to tell me 'The Justin Lee Collins Show' and 'Fat Teens in Love' aren't TV classics?!

Hi guys,
My first post in the TV Forum, thought I would start in the itv.com section which I have a great interest in.
I have been reading quite a few of the recent pages so have an idea what you have all been talking about so I won't echo things you have already been saying.
One thing some people have said is why don't ITV just scrap the whole site and made a whole new design and upload it all in one go. This would be fantastic but people seem to be forgetting ITV cannot afford things like this at the minute. It would cost a fortune to have the whole site and all the separate pages redesigned and it would be hard for them to ever get the money back.
I love the Corrie and This Morning sites, hope we get more sites like those. The whole site has a unique look to that program. Sites I'm not too keen on are sites like TV Burp http://www.itv.com/tvburp and Gossip Girl http://www.itv.com/gossipgirl These sorts of pages which ITV seem to like lately have a video and large image at the top, a white section underneith with videos and links, then another picture at the bottom.
Of course these style pages are nicer than the old style (like Emmerdale still has) but they are still poor compared to the likes of Corrie and TM.
ITV desperately needs to revamp the Emmerdale site. I keep tweeting ITVinsider and itvdotcom and they just keep saying 'Emmerdale will be getting a new look soon' etc. But knowing ITV, soon means next year
I must admit I quite like the new ITV local pages. My local site is http://www.itv.com/border and I think design wise it looks good. I'm expecting good things when the main News site launches.
One thing I have always questions but never found an answer is in the top grey menu bar where it has links like TV Shows and ITV Player, why does Corrie get its own direct link? Why is it not 'Soaps'? Also, why is there no 'Drama' and 'Entertainment' link? Ok these are not really needed as you can get to them from 'TV Shows' but would be nice to see.
ITV Player could do with a brand new design. I think ITV need to redeign the page to it looks separate to the rest of itv.com (a bit like the BBC iPlayer site). It needs a bigger embedded video player, and quality needs improving.
I know I have wrote a lot, and I even have more to say. but will leave it for now and maybe post more later. But as I did say, I have a great interest in itv.com so you will probably be seeing me a lot more in here

Yes I agree. They could have at least kept the old site up while the new site was being made. I don't know why all these page revamps take them so long. I know they don't have a huge team of people but they seem to manage sites like X Factor easily enough.
I think it is an utter disgrace that the itv.com/news site is still down. It's been 'Coming Soon' for months. In a climate where most people turn to the internet for news, it's quite astounding as to why this hasn't been accelerated to urgent. Shame on them.

Well as far as the news site goes, it is totally out of ITN's hands and I do know from a friend who works there that ITN peeps are getting extremely peeved off about the continuous delay.

The site im guessing is ready. But ITV News is having a revamp/refresh on the 2nd of November. So with that in mind the site will relaunch
I Believe ITV Local has launched on ITV.com because it is now on the menu bar. However some pages still need to be updated from last week.

ITV doesn't need charity (especially not from the BBC).
Well people complain that ITV's schedule isn't good enough, but they also moan when ITV decides to put the website on a back burner to focus money on improving their programmes instead! They can't win.
It's not called Independent Television for nothing - the website can wait.
Still not good enough. Thank god the BBC are making the iPlayer third party.
