Good News! (IMO), we all where disappointment of what they launched last year, and how it differed from the image of what it was going to look like.
Edit: Someone might like to change the title to 'Mark 3'

Third time's a charm I suppose.
This time, can we see:
A consistent, nice looking, modern design?
A logical content management system? The death of the ?partid=4944782 URLs was welcomed but the /CoronationStreet/News/Default.html capitalised stuff was amateurish too.
A nicely designed, widescreen, high quality and well-accessible ITV Player?
A decent News site?
A BBC-style approach to programme sites, with individual designs for ALL shows like Corrie, Emmerdale and so on?
Probably too much to ask but we live in hope!
We've already seen SOME ITV sites done well, like http://www.itvmedia.co.uk/ - so let's see ITV.com follow suit.

ITV is preparing to overhaul its website next year to introduce more social media features and a greater emphasis on its most popular TV shows with a "fewer, bigger, better" strategy.
"Project Penguin" will see ITV.com's content management system restructured and new discussion and content-sharing features introduced, MediaGuardian.co.uk can reveal. This follows the rebranding of the broadcaster's online video catch-up service as ITV Player last week.
Coronation Street, The X Factor and Emmerdale were the most popular shows on ITV's online catch-up service last month, followed by Britain's Got Talent and Gossip Girl.

I see the slick promos have started for ITV Player "amazing telly you can't miss". So I went onto the site expecting some decent looking revamp only to find it's still the same overcomplicated, dull mess - the homepage hardly screams at you to peruse ITV's selection of programmes, does it?
I know the Beeb can throw tonnes of man hours at iPlayer but it's not that difficult to present at least a homepage that makes you want to use it. Changing the title would probably at least get it appearing on Google for those searching!

In my head I have a nice mock about what the page
could
look like with some effort based on that logo above, but as long as they don't bother it will always be somewhere I will go to as a last resort if I
have
to see something. With the iPlayer and to some extent 4oD I go there to browse, often putting off more important things, because I actually enjoy the experience.

And now ITV are promoting it on their channels and after programmes, yet their website still calls it 'Catch Up' on menus though the page is branded ITV Player, consistency?

Looks like the ITV Player branding has been slipped in to the website, although the old Catch Up name is still hanging around.
