It has been updated.
New menu bar [used on x factor pages] has been put on some other pages too, but some have the large old one still.
The colour bar [top of every page] has been kept the same, with it on the bottom of the page aswell.

I now notice that ITV haven't been using their animated hompage preview for a while it's just a photo of a programme. Boring.

Pity the rest of the site is a shambles. ITV desperately need to give the whole site a complete revamp.

I can never make out what the point is in having this - http://itv4.itv.com/itv4/index.jsp - as the ITV4 website.

Hardly inspiring is it?

It's not been updated since the channel launched last November (correct me if I'm wrong).

Pretty poor.

I notice ITV have widened their site. Most of the pages are still rigidly in the old width:

e.g. ITV Entertainment: http://www.itv.com/page.asp?partid=4273

Guh. When will they get rid of those f*cking stupid URLS?

MediaGuardian are reporting ITV.com is to get a revamp:

"ITV has appointed US digital agency Schematic to design a next-generation video-on-demand ITV.com website as well as its own digital media player.

ITV is aiming to launch its new web "portal" sometime in the first quarter next year.

The broadband-enabled, on-demand service will enable viewers to watch simulcasts of live ITV shows as well as operating a "catch-up" option to see missed programmes.

ITV also intends to offer exclusive web-only content and a wide range of archive material."

next-generation

I think not. At best it's "current generation" - C4 has a simulcast and a few past shows to watch, and countless channels in the USA have the "catch up service".

Innertube, for example.

Well that's good news anyway. I take it that means the whole site will be re-designed, in addition to the new VOD site. I haven't rated @www's work at all, and the site is pretty poor, so hopefully there will be a big improvement.

I'm hoping they go with something simple like bbc.co.uk instead of their usual graphical crap.
