They've done pretty well with this site. Usually it's launched a section on Tuesday, or at least within a few days of the Tuesday. And it's looking good.

It's looking nice but don't you think it really takes away the individuality of shows having to all come under the same ITV banner? Also they did say every show from the past 30 days would be available as a 'catch up' or will that be a whole feature of it's own in the 'watch now' section do you think? I hope so! If they get that bit right it could have a real edge on rivals...

I think the Watch Now bit will include that.

What do you mean individuality?

Well you know how the new site has almost all shows as having the same basic ITV.com interface for their little bits? It's a bit disappointing having such a sweeping design instead of each website having it's very own style e.g. The X Factor site (although I wonder if this will become more a part of ITV.com as the new series approaches)

Re: X Factor, I've a feeling it will adopt the new design myself. I'd like to be proven wrong.

I know it may strip individuality but it IS consistant.

On an unrelated note, why does www.itv.com/football have no Video player? And why have they moved some of the video controls? They look s hite above the video.

Not sure about the football question but I really hope you're right about the 'watch now' feature - that was the whole selling point ITV so eagerly pushed at the start of the revamp - that you could watch any show (or almost any) on ITV from the past 30 days. I'd really like to catch up on stuff like The Bill and Got Talent from a while back, but at the moment The Bill site is showing nothing of a catch up section Sad I know they're both from Talkback Thames, but that company is one of ITV's most favoured suppliers. Hmm, well hopefully News tomorrow! That one should be impressive Smile

Yes they ought to add the 'Best of' Britain's Got Talent to the Entertainment section properly like they have with Takeaway etc. I'm pretty sure 'Watch Now' will coincide with the launch of the site and the ability to watch all programmes (that aren't imports) from the last 30 days.

No News section yet, we'll see if anything's mentioned on the 1.30pm News bulletin.

FINALLY some news:

Arrow http://community.itv.com

"The ITV.com forums are currently being moved to a new platform.

Until Wednesday, 1 August 2007, the Forums will have read-only access and no postings can be made. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."

Looks like new forums are coming then - thank god! The current ones are ghastly.

I wouldn't expect any more Wink Laughing

If there's no forums until Wednesday and News launching tomorrow, maybe the whole site launch won't be until Wednesday?
