Don't know if it's been mentioned but..

The ITV Help section is up - http://preview.itv.com/Help/default.html - possibly by mistake though, same for the 'A to Z' link on the menu bar, which links to nowhere, http://preview.itv.com/AtoZ/default.html shown on the Drama section.

Entertainment site looks good.

They need to update their last paragraph on the Overview page - http://preview.itv.com/Feedback/Overview.html - they've updated the others....

Hope the Dancing on Ice & Celebrity sites are temp.

According to page 29 of RadioTimes this week, ITV.com will complete its rollout on 31st July.

There is also information on VOD services from BBC/Channel 4 etc.

The A To Z option appears to have vanished from some pages - ie. the new Best Of ITV page. http://preview.itv.com/BestofITV/default.html

This bit from one of the help pages is interesting...

(Supporting GNU/Linux would also be nice. However, on top of the technical challenges involved, this is unlikely to be possible because of our legal requirements to protect copyrighted material. The digital rights management technologies that this entails run counter to the open-source licensing underpinning such operating systems.)

IT'S NOT TOO DIFFICULT! All you have to do is compile the binaries and not release the source! How do you think Flash gets by on OSS systems?

Yes but that's Adobe throwing loads of money at it. ITV don't make their own DRM system and if they have to rely on Microsoft then it's likely they'll only ever get to support Windows and Mac.

Also remember what lefty anti-all-copyright loonface's some of the Linux people are, firefox is called Iceweasel on several distros because they couldn't possibly include a piece of software who's logo was a trademark.

Well if the Entertainment News URLs are anything to go by, it's not looking pretty for the new ITV News site.

Marvel at this beauty of an address:

http://preview.itv.com/Entertainment/celebrity/CelebrityNewsHoldingFolder/KatieHolmespregnantrumour/default.html

Oh dear. Also page titles are a mess. You get:

Coronation Street - ITV Soaps
Family | Drama - ITV Drama
Celebrity | Celebrity News Holding Folder | Katie Holmes Pregnant Rumour - ITV Entertainment

Mess.

Whats wrong with that url? It's far better than the old ones. Some people just like to complain.

Plus I have a feeling that the Celebrity News Holding Folder title will not be around forever

The way I understand it is that Fx's trademark is used to stop people selling it at extortionate prices with modifications (ie spyware etc). Linux's trademark is there to stop big businesses buying it and then charging smaller businesses fees for using it (which someone tried and failed to do). IMO Mr Stallman has gone too far in saying that anything that is copyrighted is automatically evil.

It's far too long. Example, comparing the BBC and ITV for a story on the same topic:

http://preview.itv.com/Entertainment/celebrity/CelebrityNewsHoldingFolder/KerryentersThePriory/default.html
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6907235.stm

I think we all know which one works better.

Yes, it does matter. It's illogical for a start, I mean look at this:

http://preview.itv.com/Entertainment/celebrity/Articles/Matthew-McConaughey_s-trailer-move.html

Apostrophes as underscores? It's ridiculous. They should do something like:

http://preview.itv.com/entertainment/celebrity/articles/article3354.html

And what's with 'Articles' and 'Entertainment' having a capital but not 'celebrity'?
