ITV.com Discussion Thread

It takes up more space than the old one, which had an ITV News logo and replaced the normal navigation.

However a horizontal navigation is a good idea, and bringing the normal ITV mast across the site is overall a good move.

I do think the news site needs an ITV News logo, and perhaps the "Topics" or "Regions" submenus would be better more visible to increase the browsability of the site. "Meet the Team" and "Entertainment" seem wasted with the amount of visibility they get, while the Regions and Topics are relegated to drop down menus.

Also a Weather site wouldn't go amiss, or at least a more personalised Weather experience rather than just articles within the region pages.

Still, it's doing great as is.

ITV News has been updated with a new full article page and other improvements.

I have to say the site is now even better. It is simply outstanding.

I find it hilarious the website still has this page from the 2007 "ITV Broadband" relaunch, it's not even hidden away, its linked to by most pages.

In comparison you can see how pathetic the web design ITV had previously.

A nice idea but I think the resources will be utilised elsewhere.

Sounds like the website will relaunch that day then - which may mean it's also the day of the corporate rebranding.

If the website relaunches I will be astonished.

I think a relaunch of the website will involve changing the logos from the old ones to the new ones. I don't expect there to be much more.

Seems that the CITV website is closing this month and will simply redirect to the CITV ITV Player page. Presumably that will happen on the 14th.
