I see that they have the story on Capello now. However, the video is not working on the site at the moment.

It is usually the case were the itv news video player does not work at certain times of the day? Is that player working fine for anyone else though?

The ITV 2 unique site has been abolished and replaced with a generic design, not surprising considering that all the ITV 2 show pages moved to the generic ITV.com page design. Kind of disappointing as I did like that look.

Those ITV1, 3 and 4 logos are just yuck on the ITV2 site.

Agreed, the background is far too sickly, reminds me of vomit.

In march is their definitely mobile versions going to be released? I personally find it Embarassing that ITV, the second biggest uk news provider in terms of viewership, don't have any sort of mobile content. They are in desperate need of an app! Or even a mobile web page would do but they closed the wap site a while back. Even Channel 4 news has an iPhone/ iPad app! This relaunch can't come soon enough seriously! I'll be disappointed if there's no mobile offerings from March. Also, why not upload their news programmes to ITV Player? Therefore mobile platforms operating the ITV Player app can watch the news programmes. I'm sure he BBC does this?

Yes there will be a mobile site and also I believe an iPhone app to. The new news site will be updated 24 hours of day with content from the national and regional teams. Tweets from staff at ITV say that the new site is looking really good, but as ever with ITV you can never be to sure.

Regarding the new site I notice that the ITV News youtube channel is uploading content much more regularly and also ITV Central is uploading content too. In addition some videos on the various local new sits have been uploaded by Vimeo. I wonder if they will be using youtube content on the new site.

It being March the 1st the ITV News site is launching at some point this month. The site has been in private beta testing for the past two weeks and I gather that the live stream is being tested too.

Should be interesting to see what the end result is.

What is the live stream, is it text or video?

I'm not sure if I am honest, the tweet that I read did say about Granada posting some archive video. I imagine it will be like the itv.com/news/live stream that has been used featuring images and links etc.

Anyone having problems with the player on itv.com/daybreak? The audio plays over the top of the video's audio and is out of sync!

Yeah, I always have problems with that! Refresh the page and then press play, should be fine

Yeah I get it after that, but I thought it ran ITV player but private videos?
